About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To have different cultures and experiences influence our lives and send us in unexpected directions.
ABOUT ME
Hello! This account is now going to be used as a dual account with my partner Rosie.
As for about myself (Michael), I am currently an elementary school music teacher. I feel super privileged and lucky to be able to play music and teach it to children for my job. Rosie is doing her masters degree in physiotherapy and as a result gets to work with and help heal a large population of people.
For hobbies, Rosie and I are both into exploring the outdoors. Living in Vancouver, B.C., we are surrounded by incredible mountains and wilderness that have given us the opportunity to make hiking, climbing, camping, cycling, snowshoeing, skiing, etc, part of our lives.
Also, I really enjoy woodworking and and furniture building and both Rosie and I love to cook (though my food has nothing on Rosie's).
PHILOSOPHY
- Just be a good person.
- Be kind to those around you (and those not around you).
- Be honest and true to yourself.
- Eat what you want to eat. Food is yummy.

Music, Movies, and Books
So much music is my favourite. Too hard to decide. Must be beautiful.
Same goes for books and movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went on a backing trip through part of the Middle-East and Europe during the summer of 2013. When in Jordan, we stayed with the Bedouins in one of their camps where there was only our small group and one guy who couldn't speak a word of English. We communicated solely with body language. It was such an amazing experience being shown a completely different way of life. I'll never forget it.
Teach, Learn, Share
Being an elementary school music teacher, this is my whole life. I feel that I learn as much or more from interacting with tiny humans (children) as they do for me. This applies across all aspects of life. Being open to learning and recognizing that we are all lifelong teachers, learners, and sharers, is what it's all about.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Rosie and I both just want to have enjoyable experiences. We would love to hang out, have great conversations, and play music with you. We could also cook dinner for you. That would be really cool.
