Let me preface with a very important thing: f**k right-wing extremists.

Okay, here we go.

I was born in New Orleans Louisiana in the mid 70s, and raised in a tiny town just north of the city called Ponchatoula.

I lived in Austin Texas for ten years (thanks to Hurricane Katrina) before moving back to Louisiana to help my mom after my dad passed away.

I quickly decided to begin an independent career that would allow me to care for animals and travel all over the US and Canada.

Then Plague 2020© decided to ruin that and everyone else's lives.

I'm now living in Vermont. I've always loved it, but never expected to live here.

I am a duel citizen of the US and Italy. I applied for a UK visa in August 2024 to move in with my Scottish partner.

LOVE to travel!

Languages (not very good at retaining anything), film, world cuisine, aviation, politics, among many others.

Oh, and napping! That thing about turning middle-aged is spot-on true.

The most basic necessities of travel can be outrageously expensive.

You work and work so hard for the most basic essentials - transport and shelter, and often, so little is left in your wallet to enjoy.

That said, money certainly doesn't buy happiness. It does, however, allow more freedom to pursue these things.

I've never been particularly sure how to succinctly sum up my interests. They are far ranging and very random. For the most part, I would say they lean toward the type of person that has a restlessness inside.

We have such a short time on earth. That became much more obvious when I hit 40.

I would rather be going somewhere and doing something. ..and occasionally, napping and/or cuddling animals.

I have a particularly deep adoration of dogs, but all animals are very welcome in my life.

I like horror films, romantic comedies, French films full of hyperbole and extreme drama, funny Italian films, you name it.

I got engaged to my Scottish fiancé in Scotland.

In 2019 I finally got my Italian citizenship! I'm a dual citizen! That's nuts!

The dream is to live in Europe, even as I age.

No one makes a better cup of coffee or a cappuccino better than I! I worked in the business for nearly 20 years.

I would love to learn Italian, French, or Swedish. Maybe even Gaelic.

I can cook, clean, and quite a few other things. I'm not a rude, inconsiderate person.

I am an excellent guest. I tend to minimise myself in all situations, but this I know. Cleanliness, respect, picking up after yourself and *always* leaving where you are better than it was. It's someone else's home! Very basic respect is important. I want people to have good memories of my time there.

My hosts are left with a room that is exactly the same or better.
