ABOUT ME

Travelling has started for me with 14 years of age when I toured Europe six weeks with a friend and a bicycle. It has never stopped since. Favourite places are still Ireland (where I own a small field stone cottage), Munich, Sydney and Barcelona, where some good friends of mine live.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have met so many hospitality in my life all across this planet, I enjoy to give back some of it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I startet hosting in spring 2013 and had around 20 couchsurfers as guest and it was just fun. Very honest people, we had a great time together, went to the old part of town, to the Baltic Sea, watched the Eurovision Song Contest with several friends, did some pub crawling in and I introduced them to the local rheas (Nandu birds) which we have here outside town in the wild ;-)

Marx Brothers, Miss Marpel and Tarrantino movies and (nearly) all music stuff, from Jazz to Hip-Hop to classical music to folk rock. Especially when it is performed live.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I've picked up a hitch-hiker 30 years ago on a small coast road in the west of Ireland. She was absolutely soaked even it has been a very dry day. She was a very quiet co-passanger and wanted to leave the car before we entered the next village. I later learned that this woman had drowned herself several years ago exactly on that spot where I had picked her up. And I was not the only one who had met her since.
