Hi friends! My name is Michael, 28 year old male new to the Couchsurfing community. I love to travel and to meet new people. I enjoy running, especially in a new city as it allows me to see a lot in a short period of time. I drink beer and wine, love a great happy hour and good food. I enjoy dancing on occasion, and love music and live entertainment. For work I have primarily work in hospitality, luxury hotels and service. In my next venture, I will work to plan travel for others and encourage people to see new areas of the world, experiencing the amazing things that life has to offer. I live a healthy lifestyle for the most part, and am constantly seeking the best the world has to offer. I love meeting new people as it constantly pushes me to learn more about myself, about the world, and opens my eyes a bit more every time and makes me a better person. I love to laugh and to make others laugh.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am ready to do a lot of traveling and would love to do so as economically feasible as possible. While I love traveling and meeting new people, I believe that experiencing new places in the eyes of a local is the best way to truly get the feel of a city. I would love to meet new people and forge lifelong friendships along my journey! It would also be great to practice some languages with people along the way. I am currently teaching myself Italian, and know a moderate amount of Spanish.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most top 40 type music, most EDM, popular country music, overall wide range of interests in music. My favorite books are, don't judge me, but the Harry Potter series. I also recently read 'Call Me By Your Name' and absolutely fell in love, and would recommend it to everyone! Having a hospitality background, I also really enjoyed 'Heads in Beds'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess this is the 'brag about yourself' section. I don't know if it's 'amazing' but I think that my independence is pretty amazing. I have been working since the age of 14, starting as a busboy. Since then, I have had a wide range of jobs and have essentially been responsible for purchasing all of my own things since then.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a strong desire to learn new languages and experience new cultures. In attempt to learn a new language myself, I would love to help anybody else with their English, if needed, while staying in their home. Additionally, I am incredibly clean/organized and can help out when and where necessary.
