Hi, I'm Michael, born and raised in Adelaide. I studied German and linguistics at Uni and now I work as an English language assistant in Erlangen, Germany. I would love to learn more languages, especially: Finnish, Swedish and Dutch. I love travel, meeting new and interesting people from different lands and cultures and exploring new locations.

I'm a laid-back, honest, open-minded, liberal person with a very sarcastic, often silly and slightly sardonic sense of humour.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I lived with two Belgians in December 2013, and had lots of fun showing them around my hometown, listening to their travel stories, and became really good friends with them. This inspired me to give couchsurfing a shot and it's been amazing.

I started hosting in April 2014, it's been brilliant and I've met many amazing people. I've also surfed in Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Finland and France, and hung out with couchsurfers in Croatia.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

One of the most amazing things I've done was studying international environmental law at Maastricht University, in the Netherlands. I also recently traveled through 7 countries in Europe over 7 weeks and it was absolutely amazing.

I live in a shared apartment with two Master students. We live about 10 minutes from the city center by bike.

We don't have a spare room but two spare mattresses. We also have WiFi, stove-top, fridge, oven.

Smoking is not allowed in the apartment.

I'm happy to show people around our little city when I'm not working.

I can host both weekdays and weekends.
