About Me
ABOUT ME
I know this is a typical sentence in nearly every couchsurfing profile but I really think that I am an open minded person who is interested in meeting new, interesting and inspiring people to share time and experiences with. I'm rather reserved when I have no real link to a person but luckily it's possible to create one ;)
PHILOSOPHY
Maybe these two:
My voice tells me: “That’s how it all is.” And the echo of my voice tells me: “That’s how you are.”
- Antonio Porchia
"I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that my spark should burn out
in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom
of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time. "
- Jack London
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The same reasons as most of the other couchsurfers: Making new friends, cultural exchange and finding out how you see the world. The idea of sharing things is quite important for me, especially as a countermovement in times where it seems that economic aspects are too often in the foreground.
Furthermore I believe that platforms like Couchsurfing can create bridges between humans from different cultures/backgrounds and supports mutual understanding and coexistence.
Interests
I like being active and doing stuff. I love travelling around the world, getting in touch with new people, leaving the comfort zone, crossing boundaries and learn about the history and culture of a country.
I am a passionate music listener, I go to concerts and collect vinyl.
I read a lot, I like to lead good discussions, I do sports like running and climbing and I'm interested in contemporary art and street art.
