About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My continuing mission, to explore strange new places. To seek out a good life and new friends. To boldly go where I have never gone before.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 24 year old artist constantly seeking inspiration and adventure. I just finished my first circumnavigation of the globe and have so many stories to tell, but what I really want is to hear your stories.

I am a very easy going guy who most comfortable in the trees. I am usually pretty quiet but can really get into a substantial dialogue when the mood is right. I love to experience places with the people that live there but I am just as comfortable discovering a place by myself. I am also pretty uncomfortable talking about myself so much so...yeah... that's it for me, feel free to ask any questions.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is always evolving and kind of hard to pin down into a cohesive paragraph. Basically, we are here on this world to grow. The best way to do that is to constantly challenge ourselves and seek out what we don't understand. The best way to do THAT is to travel. But even if we cannot leave our surroundings, for whatever reason, the most important thing is to not lose our sense of curiosity and wonder of the world around us.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I travel I always try to experience a city via couchsurfing. Whether it is by finding a fabulous host, or the local CS meet up. It has never failed to open up the city in new and exciting ways. I have not really been in a place I can call home in quite some time so I have not had the pleasure of hosting, but once I get settled I plan on changing that ASAP.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing short of great experiences. I really owe a great deal to the people I have met via CS.

Interests

Art, art making, traveling, engaging in different cultures, trying new food, mythology, hiking, biking, camping, getting lost, random adventures, conversations with substance, meeting new people and hearing their stories.

There's a lot so I'm just going to list my current top 3

Movies: Waking Life, Baraka, Darjeeling Limited

Music: Other Lives, Alt-J, Pearl and the Beard

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bathing in the hot springs of Iceland while there for a month at an artist residency.

Teach, Learn, Share

I studied photography at school, so if anyone has photo/camera related questions, I would love to share what I know.
I also am an avid collage artist and painter and I love to share my tricks.

Basically, any excuse to make art with curious and enthusiastic people is a great way to share our expertise.

I am also a practitioner of a healing-meditation technique known as Reiki. It involves connecting with and channeling the limitless energy that is provided by the universe to heal and balance our personal/spiritual energies. If this sounds like something you would be interested in exploring I would LOVE to share it with you.
