Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am a student of the world.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in LA the oldest of six kids (yes, six) and was traumatized enough that I promptly decided to bail for the East Coast for about 12 years before recovering enough to return back to the West Coast.
I'm a student of the world. I'm fascinated by people and my work allows me to try and understand why they think and act the way they do in the workplace. I'm pretty sure I have the coolest job in the world.
When I'm not working, you'll find me wandering around the world, posing in front of mirrors at the gym, shamelessly watching garbage reality TV, or polluting my body at the bar while I mess with people.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a student of the world. I try to expose myself to as many different people, places, and ideas as I can since I really enjoy new experiences. That's partially what motivates me to do CouchSurfing. It's a cool way to expand your horizons and feel like your traveling, even if you're in your home town.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've only been on the hosting side of things so far. Unfortunately, I travel a lot for work so it's tough to make my schedule coincide with others but I'm more than happy to host people at my flat when I'm around. I like meeting new people and showing them fun stuff to do in and around SF.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's been totally positive so far. I've only hosted a handful of people but everyone has been super friendly and super respectful of my place. My friends think I'm crazy to do this but I've met some amazing people and made some great friends.
Interests
Wandering around the world, self-improvement, burying myself in code, reading anything by Malcolm Gladwell, exploiting life hacks, working out compulsively, hustling, watching garbage reality TV, and cheering on the Bruins, Dodgers, or Lakers

Teach, Learn, Share
There's an author (and Harvard psychologist) named Dan Gilbert who wrote a book called "Stumbling on Happiness" that I really like. The crux of the book is that it's not about the destination but the journey. We think that when we reach a certain goal (e.g., financial success, getting in shape, etc.), we'll finally reach a certain level of happiness. But what actually makes us happy is the journey and the struggle to get there. That always resonated with me.
