Hi, my name is Michael, I am from Germany and 29 years old. I studied sports and mathematics for school and I am working as a teacher for three years now.
I would describe myself as open minded, funny and optimistic. I always try to see the positive side of life. I like to meet friends and to go out on the weekend, drink some beer and have fun. In my free time I like to travel and visit different cities and countries.
When I' m not studying, working or traveling I do a lot of sport (soccer, basketball, climbing, mountainbiking, ...).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I traveled with a friend two weeks through Spain and Portugal to see the country, meet some people there and lern the language. We tried couchsurfing there for the first time and it was awesome! the guys were so friendly, helpfull and generous. They were not only giving us a place to stay, they also gave us very important informations, showed us around, ...
After this trip, I began to offer a couch in my flat too and tried to help the people visiting me here in Germany in the same way the couchsurfing-comunity did it to me ;-) .
Now, everytime when I am visiting other countries, I want to meet the people there and get to know the country in the origine way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled 3,5 month through south america from Quito in Ecuador to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. It was such a awesome time there, I met so many great and interessting people there on my way. Since then, I want to travel more of the world and I will try to use as much of my holidays as I can to see more countries and maybe sometime the whole world ;-) .
