About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Being fairly new in a large city can be overwhelming sometimes--why not share what I can with those who may need it. Not looking to get anything other than meeting new, awesome people on their own journey's through life.

ABOUT ME

I seem to transition between hosting and being hosted depending on the stage of life I'm in. Right now I'm establishing a new life in a new city, and don't have nearly the social network I did back home. Love to travel and meet those who do. Not quite sure if Houston is a big city for those who need to be hosted, but I figure why not offer what I can?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Happy to share what I'm able to--a spare bedroom, comfy couch, hot shower, and a Netflix subscription.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted many people in my home city of Seattle, and have been hosted all around the world when I took a gap year to travel. Now that I'm living in Houston and have an extra room, I'd love to pick up hosting folks who need it again.

Interests

Travel, dancing in the street, making conversation with perfect strangers, not caring that I look like a crazy person when I dance in the street.

Music, Movies, and Books

Impossible to name them all, but here's a start:

Movies: Anything by Tarantino; Fight Club; almost any documentary on Netflix, especially those around food, money, politics, and sex; and anything Judd Apatow. Oh, and Top Gun (can't forget my favorite childhood movie).

Music: If I had to pick one album to listen to for the rest of my life, it would be a toss up between Dave Mathews' "Crash" and U2's "Joshua Tree". Though I listen to electronic/EDM more than anything else. Odd combo, huh?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent basically all of 2015 bouncing from country to country, hostel to hostel, and food cart to food cart scratching my travel itch. Highlights include mud-wrestling elephants, scuba-diving with sea-turtles, and eating very questionable street food.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know more about money, finance, and banking than I probably need to in order to get by in life, but am happy to share what I've learned with anyone; especially personal finance tips that I've developed from having seen the mistakes and successes of both my former clients and myself.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to share my bubbling personality, help improve your English or writing skills, or anything related to finance/banking. I've also been traveling for quite some time and would be happy to share any tips you may need if you are planning on a similar journey.

Countries I’ve Visited
