ABOUT ME

I am 47 - and have spend the last 20 years more or less travelling - working on my own kind of 'organic sound art' - which has brought me to meet some amazing people - see some amazing places - and produced a lot of advenetures. Now I am planning to settle in - and germinate these experiences into writing, more visual art, new community - and potential family...

PHILOSOPHY

I have been a vipassana meditator for 10 years and have a foundation in Buddhism and live accordingly to Dharma - I have a growing intersting in Dzogchen and experiential spirtuality - which means to learn from experience and share with an honest and open heart.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a long standing understanding of the importance of travel and learning from other people and other cultures - at the moment I am in transit but my intention is to always have a place to invite people that are on the road needing a place to stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been travelling for the last 20 years and have often been 'couch surfing' - so I know and respect and believe that sharing one's space is the way to understanding and evolution.

My life-art experience means that I am constantly learning from people and places - I am fascinated by sublime experiences and look for this in art, life, food, environment and others. I have a long interested in experimental music, art, film and performance and therefore can share a lot about what I have encoutered along my long and winding road..

Film - Jodorowsky, Tarkowsky, and many other filmmakers who explore sublime dimensions of time and space. Music - I have a very wide interest in music/sound and have an enormous collection - lately I listen to a lot of roots music from Africa and Jamacia - but also a lot of Indian music - Music is very important to me. Books - lately reading a lot from Nisargadatta Maharaj, as well as Dzogchen texts - I read mostly non-fiction, and it is a part of my life-study.

In 1991 I saw a 5min total solar eclipse while standing in the Pacific Ocean near San Blas, Mexico - during the eclipse there was an electrical storm in the distant hills as well as a red glowing sunset-like horizon. I sublime moment in time and space that set the scene for many other amazing moments in nature to follow...

I have a vast interest in music/sound arts and often have many recordings of special things with me when I am moving around. I have travelled and lived around the world and have a cosmopolitan lifestyle with ease of conversation on many subjects. Currently I am studying a variety of forms of Vajrayana Buddhism.
