(Erik) Michael here--I'm currently a DevOps software engineer. Currently residing in Nelson, NZ while on working holiday!

I love travel, exploring, adventuring and meeting new people. I'm really into roller coasters, both riding them and studying them. I have a couple of designs that I've made in NoLimits Coaster Simulator. Let me know if you want to see them, I'm always happy to share.

Mostly to meet new people in different walks of life. I like seeing how we connect and how we are different. It is an interesting mental exercise.

Movies -- Err, pass. I don't watch many movies. Notable mentions are Inception, Saving Private Ryan and Life of Pi.

Books -- Too many to name! A few of the best would be Lord of the Flies, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, 1984 and the Phantom Tollbooth.

I love cooking with people, so if you want to cook a meal together, I'm always down. I'm also really good at making desserts, but please don't make me eat too much of them--the calories are my gift to you :P.
