Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Last summer, I ended a 13 year relationship with a guy I met at Burning Man... I know, so cliche :) To top it off, we broke up while I was traveling with his family through Europe... Yikes! Afterwards, I got over the breakup by traveling

my ex returned to Los Angeles, where I had lived for 15 years, and I continued to travel for 6 weeks throughout Europe.

The experience was amazing. It reminded me how much I love to travel, make new friends, and experience distant lands. Fortunately, I'm a screenwriter, editor, director, and am often able to work for long stretches remotely. So, I'm heading back to Europe and Africa this fall, and can't wait to make some new memories!

My favorite musicians are Aimee Mann, Beck, M83, Miike Snow, MGMT, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Madonna, Kesha, Selena Gomez, Sam Cooke, The Beatles, New Order, Nicki Minaj, Rufus Du Sol, Phillip Glass, Alabama Shakes, Black Keys, Florence and the Machine, etc.

My favorite filmmakers are Jean Marc Vallee, David Fincher, Alfonso Cuaron, The Coen Brothers, Paul Thomas Anderson, Sophia Coppola, and Denis Villeneuve to name a few.

My favorite books are Neuromancer, Mona Lisa Smile, A Home at the End of the World, The Hours, Shock Doctrine, America The Farewell Tour. I also love the magazine Adbusters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I made several short films, and learned to write screenplays. Neither was easy :)
