Overview
About Me
I am from Poland, where I have been living for all my life (except an Erasmus period). I grew up in the city of Wrocław but have already lived in many other towns. I like to move from one place to another and do it usually because of changing a job. For seven years I have been involved in radio. I work as a journalist - in my daily life I prepare and perform information services. In my private life I try my best to be open minded. I am certainly talkative, outspoken and quite heatedly. I am interested in many things and do not impose myself with limitations. Actually I really like entertaining people and appreciate sens of humor. One can spend much time with me on discussiing various issues.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would love to meet new people during my journeys. I am pretty sure it is the best way to find what one place is really about. I am social and outgoing and just like to share my experiences with someone. In my opinion it is the best way of discovering the world. And it is much better to spend time together instead of being alone. Lots of my friends have been already using CS for many years and it seems like it is really worthy of focusing. I am looking forward to getting into it. I am almost sure it can provide me with exactly what I like and none of my companions would be disappointed.

Music, Movies, and Books
Since many years I have been devoted to metal music in its entirety. I am rooted from it and this is the very source of my musical taste. I buy CDs, go to concerts and after so many years it still gives me a shiver. Nowadays I am mostly into black metal. But I also appreciate such musicians as Johnny Cash, Nick Cave, King Dude, Depeche Mode, Current 93... Everything I find interesting - despite the genre.
Once I used to watch mainly horror films but nowadays I do it quite seldom. I really love Woody Allen and Cohen brothers. On the other hand I like dramas and - from to time to time - something that makes me thrill. One of my favorite films is "Harry Angel"! That's it! And the series "True Detective" turned out to be the revelation to me! And from time to time I happen to watch science fiction. I was really disappointed with "Alien: Covenant".
If it comes to books, I grew up with H.P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard. These were my very foundations. Nowadays I am mostly into reportage books. I prefer the ones about social issues, Middle East, South America - the more stirring they are, the better it is for me.
Usually I try not to stick to strict genre boundaries and day by day learn to be more open minded.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For me it was certainly going to Turkey for an Erasmus period! That was truly a shaping experience! I fell in love with that country. Mostly because of it's complicated history, difficult politics, unique culture, special atmosphere... And much more. During my stay in Turkey I had an opportunity to learn Turkish, so I picked up a challenge. It was great to get into it step by step, day by day. And even though to me as an European at the beginning it seemed unlikely to learn that language, I succeeded. I have not achieved a proficiency in the language, but I could easily communicate and sometimes even make an impression on somebody ;)
