Über mich
I'm jolly backpacker and traveler, eager to learn about new cultures. I live in Trnava - beautiful small city with rich history, just 50 kilometers from the capital (Bratislava). Train connection to Bratislava is frequent, cheap and quite fast; you can reach it within half an hour.
There are lot of things to see and do in Trnava and its surroundings. I love nature and history and will happily guide you through city and its neighborhood in case I have time. I'm also very familiar with other Slovak cities so can definitely give you advice / suggestions where to go or what else to see.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
Why all of us are here? Cause it's best sharing idea after founding Wikipedia and Quora! For me Couchsurfing is definitely not about saving money, but learning. Local host can teach you about the country much more than best travel handbook. Besides, it's adventure and fun!
Interessen
I have lots of hobbies, but the biggest passion can be described simple as “life explorer”. Immediately after university studies I escaped to sea and spent a year working on a cruise ship.
Back in Europe, I started with treks, and then I somehow naturally continued with high mountains (Alpes, Caucasus, Pamir...). While abroad, I love to travel in a light way, without exact plan or goal – the best way to interact with locals!
Besides mountains, I find a private sanctuary in my cosy study with full book shelves. I consider books my biggest treasure :-) .

Musik, Filme und Bücher
Extremely hard to decide, but if I was forced to pick ONE book on remote island, it would probably be something from Graham Greene
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
While travelling in Laos, I celebrated Chinese lunar New Year in the remoted Hmong (minority tribe) village. They „forced“ me to drink blood and eat dog meat, but what wouldn't one do just to please these extremely nice and hospitable people. Most of them didn't understand me a word, but they gave me a feeling like if I spent three days among best friends.
