About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Yay... it seems like it's traveling time again :)
Its been a while since my last trip, and I'm really excited.
I'm traveling to Melbourne Australia to visit my grandmother and family,
I'll be stopping in Istanbul on the way there and in Tailand for a couple of weeks on my way back.
really excited about

ABOUT ME

my name is Michal.
i have this sticker on my door,
it says: simplicity, patience, and compassion.
one day i hope to get there :)

i feel most comfurtable in water

i envy cats: i could spend my life daydreaming, findnig the best, warmest, cosiest spots, sleeping, eating, streching and being spoiled by others :)

i hate stupidity ignorence and over simplification

i love jerusalem, and i love nature, and food, and markets, and music and design, and clever ideas.

and i'm not always happy, and don't pretend to be, and prefer people who have respect for all the different emotions we have, both in themselves and others.

loooooooooooooooooovvveeee dancing and singing
swimming and baking and reading going to the cinema.
wanna join? :)

PHILOSOPHY

i'm in this life to learn
also - anyone who has a roof over his head, something to eat, and his/her freedom, is very lucky!

"But we're never gonna survive unless...
We get a little crazy"

Music, Movies, and Books

music:
classical north indian, west african, celtic, persian, turkish, sacred jewish music from arab countries (including north africa).excelent pop, rock, reggae, r&b, realy good electronic music (trance too) when i want to dance and forget, israely music when i want to remember... :)
music- i would not exsist without it. full stop. my deepest and most free expression is through singing. dancing is so important and freeing and listening is.....
just the most important thing.

books: i love reading, for me a book is a journey, something i need to make space for (one reson for realy loving cinema is that the journey is so much more condenced in time, and sometimes just as powerfull.)
{beloved, jazz song of solomon and most everything else written by toni morrison are the most powerfull reading expirience i've ever had, and i got a dream come true when i had the priviligde to see her in london just before my birthday! she is amazing!
gavriel garcia marques, 100 years of solitary, love in days of cholera, and many of his shorts, are another absolute favourite. gavriel and toni, with their ability to turn dream and fantasy into reality and reality into magic and keep everything alive and real and coexisiting, represent everything i love about art.
a fine balance by rohinton mistry is a master piece, a master piece and a journey in to everything that is beautiful and cruel in india and being human}
film:
just a list this time: (in no particular order)
once were worriors, the piano, big lubowsky,oh brother... straight story, xxy, into the wild, adaptation, all about my mother, back to the future, central station brazil, fried green tomatoes, hiroshima mon amour, kim ki duks films.... etc. etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
