About Me
- DEAR COUCHSURFERS, I CAN'T HOST AT THE MOMENT. I HOPE IT WILL CHANGE SOON -
Me? A combination of several basic elements: an artistic soul hidden behind big smile, a heart full of kindness, and a head full of various, sometimes crazy ideas.
I'm a life-taster, always curious about the world and people.
I'm a thinker, addicted to words writer.
I'm also an activist, who never can sit still. I can't live without challenges, I need my life to be changeable and surprising. That's why I'm dreaming about being a traveller - on a trip each day is unique, memorable, and different than others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have surfed and I have hosted, and I've done it all with a belief that couchsurfing is a possibility to meet fantastic people, inspire one another, and broaden our horizons. It's an exchange of cultures and mindsets, not a way to find a free place for a night.
I think that couchsurfing should always be a double-win situation. As a host, you have a pleasure of sharing things with your guests, you can make amazing friends from all over the world, and you have a motive to rediscover your own city by showing your surfers around. As a surfer, you get a shelter during your travels, you have a unique chance to see the city from the perspective of a local, you can get to know a lot about the countries you're visiting, and you can make good friends somewhere far away from your home. It all comes down to the simple mechanism that you can give and get at the same time, and that's why I like to see couchsurfing as a constant exchange between people.
(You can also fall in love while couchsurfing, what happened to me, but I don't support treating CS as a dating website. It's more like a perk: you shouldn't expect it, but if it happens, even better for you! ;-))

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a cinemaniac, always willing to watch a movie. My favorite one is "Lost In Translation" I guess, I've seen it hundreds of times. But I like watching dramas and comedies, mainstream and independent films as well (don't like horror movies only). And I have a strange fondness for depressing Scandinavian cinema.
Music? Can't imagine my life without it, even though I start to appreciate the little moments of silence I can get. My tastes are quite broad and I'm always open to something new. I enjoy indie folk, rock, blues, jazz, chillout, good old pop and dance songs, and many more. I love every kind of live music: huge festivals, small concerts, and jam sessions. Playing guitar and singing with friends works as well, but unfortunately I'm not that talented as I would like to be.
When it comes to books, my favorite one is definitely the "Unbearable Lightness of Being" by Milan Kundera. I like to read Polish authors as well: Gombrowicz, Mrożek, Witkacy, Hłasko, Świetlicki, Pilch.
Recently I discovered Balkan literature and I think I will spend more time with authors from this part of the world.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Life is amazing every day. Art is where you find it!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm always happy to cook for my hosts, if they are willing to try my culinary experiments. I never refuse to share bits from the languages I know or any psychological insights I'm able to come up with after my fascinating studies. And finally, of course, I also can and want to share my (hopefully interesting) stories, (hopefully contagious) enthusiasm, and naturally my time, which (hopefully) can be turned into beautiful memories.
