Hi I am Mihalis, engineering student. I was born and raised in the beautiful island of Crete and I moved inAthens to study in 2010. I like travelling a lot, meeting new people and different cultures. I like literature, cinema, music and making trips in nature with motorbike.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling around the world is like completing the colourful million-pieced puzzle of the human civilization. It's the only way for opening your mind and undertanding how different and so much alike at the same moment people from around the world are. I believe it's pointless visiting a place without getting in touch with its culture and traditions and the best way to do that is by meeting with locals. and the best way to do this is CS.

Interests

I play guitars and I used to play the bass guitar for a band! Now I am really interesting in electronic analog and digital sound processing and I design electronic effects for guitars in my free time!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Traditional music from every region of the Hellenism! Rock, blues, pop, hip hop and any other genre that can speak to my soul. :)
Cinema: My favourite directors are Wes Anderson, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Dziga Vertov and Sergei Eisenstein. I like movies of European independent film industry.
Books: I like studing historian, political and economical theory books. As far literature is concerned: I have a passion with Latin American literature, Marquez, Scorza. Greek poetry, Classical and modern Russian literature.
