About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Michal, I am 25 years old and I really like to travel and meet new people. I am a reliable person, willing to help whenever needed. I am student of Masters Degree at Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic.
I am a friendly guy, interested in different ways of life in different cultures. I spent 6 months in Istanbul as a Erasmus student and it was amazing experience. In my first weeks of the stay I also stayed at a guy's place via Couchsurfing. He unfortunately deleted his profile on CS recently. My latest experience with CS were two absolutely amazing stays with hosts in Israel. Since then I really enjoy this way of experience and accommodation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Willing to host, being hosted

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First week in my stay in Istanbul, I was hosted by a Turkish guy named Semsi and it was so much helpful. He unfortunately deleted his couchsurfing account, therefore I miss his recommendation. I really enjoyed the visit. It was much more realistic than staying in hotel for tourists. I enjoy getting to know other cultures and people's way of life.

I also spent some quality time with the couchsurfing community in Edinburgh, where I met a lot of amazing people during the first day of my stay. Since then I spent pretty much every day with them sightseeing, going to pubs for a beer etc. I love diversity and enjoy being part of an international and multicultural community. I believe we can all learn something from each other. Sharing is learning. I spent more than a week in Israel living with two different hosts in Haifa and Mitzpe Ramon. These times are unforgettable. :)

Interests

I started to play tennis when I was 8 years old. It was my passion. I participated in many different tournaments and played tennis on a competitive level. Unfortunately since I moved to Brno to study at college I stopped playing because of lack of time. But maybe one day, I will be back :).

As most of the people I do enjoy different kinds of music depending on my mood. I can also be taken as a computer lover, I like to play games, write blogs, take pictures with my camera on my travels and basically
meet new people and make friends. I am really easy going and curious person. I am for all kinds of fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC - I am not strictly focused only on one musical style/genre. I enjoy a lot of different artists starting with Eminem, Ice Cube, Linkin Park, Maroon 5, Coldplay, Rihanna, Rag'n'Bone Man and many more.

MOVIES - I really enjoy quality movies. If I should state some of the best I have seen in recent years it would be those - Inception, Shutter Island, Brave Heart, Revenant, Wolf of Wallstreet, LOTR triology, Gone Girl and so on. There are obviously a lot more movies I enjoyed, but these are one of the best.

BOOKS - Recently I don't spend much time reading. That's something I really need to work on. In the past I enjoyed reading these books - Gounelle Laurent - The Man Who Wanted to be Happy, The Day I Learned to Live.
Pierre Franckh - The Law of Resonance
George Orwell - Animal Farm
Napoleon Hill - Think and Grow Rich
