About Me

I am a friendly and reliable person. I worked as a Automation Engineer for 2 years.
In September 2015 I set of to travel in Asia without a return ticket.

So far, during this trip I managed to:
1) Volunteer as a teacher of English language in Bangalore, in India (3 months)
2) Attend my friend's wedding in Iran, with some independent backpacking (2 weeks)
3) Come back to India for another month of backpacking
4) Trek around Annapurna (10th highest mountain in the world) in Nepalese Himalayas (3 weeks)
5) Hitchhike from Langkawi (Malaysia) to Bali (Indonesia) - around 3500km
6) Sail from Bali to Perth - a trip which took 25 days
7) Spend over 2 months in Okinawa, practicing karate

I am traveling in Russia, slowly moving back towards west.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, this is a very interesting community. I met a few active couchsurfers and they inspired me. I would like to meet more people who travel and help others to do the same.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I appreciate good songs from all genres. If I had to choose one band, I would say that Pink Floyd is my favourite.

Movies: Shrek, Matrix, Star Wars

Books: The Alchemist, The Awareness (by De Mello), Imperium (by Kapuscinski)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitch-hiked from Wroclaw (Poland) to Barcelona and back. The trip was my first hitch-hiking experience, covered around 4000 km and took only 8 days including amazing 4 days I spent in Barcelona.
I also hitch hiked from England to Poland (another 2000 km).
One of my favourite experiences to date was 2 months of volunteering as a teacher of English language in Izhevsk in Russia - I spent 8 days traveling overland to this city and the experience I got there and the people I met were just exceptional.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk a lot about Poland and Europe in general. I can teach you anything related to my hobbies - karate, tennis, sailing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experiences and opinions and hope that my host will share the same with me. I would be happy to tell everything I know about my country - Poland and any other subject which would be interesting to someone.
