About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To circumnavigate the earth

ABOUT ME

I am an easy going blue collar guy that is on a journey around the world at 5 miles and hour. I have room for the occational visitor, maybe crew position for the right people. I can provide cooking space and couch space, you are welcome to clean up but you may need to contribute fresh water to the boat. I like to meet new people from all over. I have been all ove the Pacific side of Mexico and in the spring I'll be headed further south to Central America. I speak enough Spanish to get by and almost enough to have a conversation. I run a dry boat I do not drink or drug (not uptight just in recovery). I do still smoke but not inside.

PHILOSOPHY

Get up, show up and participate. Mean people suck!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have spent the last 2 days digging around CS and I am blown away! So I plan to keep my CS profile as up do date as posible so people will be able to find me. And I can share the great life I have on the water with others.

Interests

I'm interested in everything. However, I dive alot and just kick around? I have been very fortunate to be able to live on the water and sail 28 months out of the last 30. I would like to take people out diving with me on the Zodiac. I would like to volunteer more but there are too many NGO's that want a degree or more Spanish than I can muster at this time. I really like showing people new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to list... All of the above. My interests are also classical music, jazz, R&B to list a few. I'm a DVD nut so I have a good collection so far.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sailed away from the default world. I have seen over 100 dolpin playing off Cabo Falso. I have solo sailed nearly 3000 miles and I'm still at it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people to fix or repair damn near anything. I was a machinist for 20 years so I'm good at making things work as well as making things from raw materials. Everything can be fixed, it only depends on your time and resorces.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Mexico

Countries I’ve Lived In
