About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world, experience the world, and savor every minute of it.

ABOUT ME

It's hard to describe your entire personality in a little box, but I guess I can give it a try. I love to travel. It may be my favorite thing to do. I've lived in the United States for most of my life, but the 2 semesters I've spent living and studying in Rome are easily the best times I've ever had. I love learning, especially learning about the people and places that I visit. I love deep conversations and talking to people for hours and really getting to know people from other cultures. I think you learn the most about yourself and the world by talking to others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately I haven't really had the space to host surfers both times that I've lived in Rome and no one really ever visits Fayetteville, Arkansas...So I've done a lot more surfing than hosting. I've hung out with a lot of surfers that my friends hosted in Rome and had some great adventures (including almost freezing to death with a couple of Aussies in the Italian Alps).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is one of the coolest ideas ever. It gives me hope in humanity every time a person opens their home to me and my friends. I think it is so cool to be able to see a place through the eyes of a person who lives there. You get a much more real and meaningful experience than you would as a mere tourist. The people I've surfed with are some of the coolest people I've ever met and I wouldn't trade my experiences with them for any hostel/hotel ever.

Interests

I love long conversations with people from different backgrounds who bring different perspectives to the topic at hand. I also love to cook and enjoy a glass of wine with either of these activities

  • cooking
  • wine
  • traveling
  • surfing
  • boxing
  • beaches
  • mountains
