Well, I really don't know what to tell you except that I am newly retired and can finally do what I want when I want. I love meeting people even though I am basically quite introverted and quiet for the first few minutes on meeting people. I am honest and forthcoming. I enjoy my time alone as well as I enjoy interacting with others. I guess I'm just basically a pretty nice guy.
Having travelled quite when I was younger I have decided to get back out there and see parts of the world which interest me. I just got back from a three month trip to China, Hong Kong and Taiwan so my curiosity is now even greater. Enjoyed every minute of it. I went over budget but hey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend of mine who travels a lot told me about it and it piqued my curiosity so I decided to look into it.

I find the concept very interesting because you get to meet people who live int the community you are visiting so the interaction is very local which I find is the best way to travel. Meeting other travellers is super also but meeting the local people is also very interesting to me. Learning the local day to day customs and cultures is very inspiring. If where they accept me they wish to practice English or French that would also be a plus for me.

As I am retired and travelling alone in various countries for at least two months, I will be on budget so travelling this way would certainly help me a lot.
