ABOUT ME

So, my name's Michel. Born and grew up in Hasselt, Belgium. Actually it's only since a few years ago i started to travel more and meet people from other countries. I immidiatly fell in love with the concept and can't get enough of it.
I'm a muscician as well (guitar), performed/performes in bands,..
So offcourse for me it's always nice to meet people from other countries who are into music too, for sharing ideas, learning the music of different cultures.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't feel like saying anything about my personal philosophy.. just read my interests and what i'm about, thats pretty much who i am.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I didn't had a lot of couchsurfing experience. I only been once a guest and once a host. The experience I had with being a guest was just wonderful. It wasn't through this website though. I was hosted by one of the friendliest german guys i ever met in Jena. I spent a whole week in his appartment and we played music together on parties and even in a citytram at night!
The experience i had with being a host was quite similiar to the one above. I hosted three very cool people from Austria. We went out toghether and just chilled at my place. I really loved it to host those three and i hope/think they feel the same :).

兴趣

My intrests are mainly music overall. Playing, listening and everything around. Genres i love include: blues, rock, hard rock, jazz, electronic, indie, alternative.. actually a lot of different kinds, i'm open to every kind of music :D
Besides music i love travelling, at the moment i'm working in Cork, Ireland.. so i love being away from home and get to know other cultures.
I'm a big movie freak as well, i like to watch the classics but also cult films and everything around that sounds interesting like those typical 80's movies, artsy stuff, ...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The most recent is the fact that i'm working for 4 months in Cork Ireland community centre. I work with "at risk" young people in disadvantaged areas. We try to offer them activities and pull them away from the dangers of substance abuse. I like my work very much, at the end of the day we make a difference, as small as it might be.. and that's why i like this job.
I'm living and working in this beautiful country. It's been my dream for years to live/work in Ireland because i'm absolutly in love with this country. And i think for me personally, it's a amzing thing in my life.
