Hi there,
my name is Michel Sturm and I am from Kiel, the northern part of Germany.
I love traveling through the world to see new places, meet new people and enjoy/live foreign cultures.
I would describe me as an open, confident, funny and friendly guy who loves to be out in the nature and live adventures as well as having fun and laugh with friends. My hobbies are soccer, underwater-rugby, geocaching and I play the saxophone. I am a volunteer firefighter back in my hometown.
I have been to the US for one year as an exchange so I am speaking the english language fluently. I had 4 years of French in school, maybe I can refresh that in your place. One of my future goals is to learn Spanish!!

One of my greatest hobbies is traveling: But for me, traveling is not just seeing as many places as possible but also getting to know and meeting up with the people of different countries.
Couchsurfing provides me this opportunity to get in touch with locals that really show me specific places a "normal tourist" wouldn't go to.
And I maybe even create a lifelong friendship!!

- various vulcano hikes in Indonesia and Costa Rica
- ziplining through the rainforest in Costa Rica
- 9 weeks of backpacking in Indonesia: 3 weeks couchsurfing in Java
