About Me

Current Mission:

Learn, grow and find peace

About me:

Born and raised on Italy's adriatic coast, since I was a little kid I developed a deep love towards life's simple pleasures, in particular food, nature and music

The strong desire and necessity to become independent at the age of 18 came along with many challenges, which taught me quite some lessons, and eventually led me to leave my beloved country: straight after finishing my BSc in medical biotech I moved to Amsterdam for two incredible years, where I ended up working as chef and living in a beautiful autonomous community of young internationals, a free space where I grew as an individual and learned the real value of sharing

After some time though I felt the need to start a new adventure in order to keep growing and make my way into the big bad world. I wanted to continue my education and go for a master programme but I had little savings and no support from home, so I couldn't afford huge tuition fees, nor I wanted to start a new life carrying the debt of a student loan

With a fair amount of luck I got admitted to the only master programme I've applied to, and without any tuition fees. Sustainable biotechnology sounded to me as a good way to put my skills to use into creating something valuable for society, especially in this historical moment

After a summer spent working in the steamy kitchen of a seafood restaurant located in a natural paradise, I had raised enough cash to move to one of the most expensive cities in Europe; in september 2018, right before my 24th birthday, I packed again my life into a backpack and moved up north to Copenhagen where I currently live, study and work, trying my best to make a positive impact on this planet

I'm very easy going and open minded, I guess as most of the people in this community; I enjoy deep conversations, cooking for my friends, playing music, and partying more often than I should

If you got until here, now you probably know way more about me than I do about you, and I'd be happy if you'll want to share your story, if we'll ever meet

Write "Shantaram" in your request, so I'll know you've actually read or just scrolled my profile

Bless you (:
