About Me

Hey! So I'm a 21 year old from Canada. I was in school studying Gender Studies and Femimist Theory for two years and decided I needed a break before I really dive in to school. I'm a feminist who loves photography and good conversation. I was originally supposed to be in Rome for the full gap year. But after five months in one place, I picked up and moved! Ive been making it up as I go ever since. I spent a total of eight months in Italy, two in France, and currently in England!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My original plan when I left home was to live in one spot for a year. But after five months I realized I wanted to experience more. I'll be volunteering and couch surfing my way through life for a while. I have no real plan, I just figured this would be the most memorable way to travel! And hopefully a way to meet some lovely people.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Billie Holiday is my all time favourite artist, I could listen to The Very Thought of You on repeat for the rest of my life. I also really like jazz and blues and indie and anything you can chill out to.

ONE of my favourite movies is Lars and the real girl, but Ive got a list a mile long. Id love to swap movie suggestions!

My favourite book is Peter Pan by JM Barrie. I collect copies of it! Hoping to find some copies in different languages while Im out travelling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess moving to Rome when I didn't know anyone and didn't speak a word of Italian. And then leaving Rome with no plan! This is my first time travelling, I hope by the end of my 13 months of traveling I have a huge list of amazing things Ive done!

Teach, Learn, Share

A lot of people think femimism is just women who hate men and don't shave their legs, I am always happy to prove otherwise. Let's talk!
