About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To maintain a minimalist lifestyle as well as spread the beauty of positivity and laughter while immersing myself in the cultures/ places I visit in my current time as a nomad.
ABOUT ME
I am fascinated by the way people and energies connect even through vastly different cultures. It is my goal to learn as much as I can from both the people and the environments I visit so as to continue to broaden my perspective.
People can usually tell I am in the room by my laugh (apparently it has a distinct sound, probably just loud). Can't say there's been a day in my life without a smile on my face or me cracking a joke (even if I'm the only one laughing).
PHILOSOPHY
I feel that by being welcomed into people's homes I am getting that much more of a cultural experience in each place I visit. That experience is one I will treasure more than simply walking through a beautiful city. I would like to provide that same warmth for those I welcome into my home.
"Today we live in a world in which the capacity to experience is disconnected from the activity of encountering". I've felt around me that people are extremely connected virtually, but more disconnected in person. I think it is infinitely valuable and sincere to get to know someone in person instead of reading about them (say on some couchsurfing website... ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing maintains an altruistic community that reinforces my faith in humanity. It touches upon major personal philosophies and I'm ever grateful for its existence for travelers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed on a few couches now and a few have surfed on mine, and I must say that I prefer couchsurfing to any other lodging. Staying with a local allows me to gain a more in-depth perspective and not be that chick who travels for the FB profile pic...
Interests
I have an undying passion for the outdoors and I miss getting paid for it. Second to that I greatly enjoy challenging and stimulating conversation with absolute strangers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Aren't those the type of stories one is excited about and would want to share in person, not just list off nonchalantly?
Teach, Learn, Share
Aren't we always though?
What I Can Share with Hosts
When I am surfing I am happy to treat my host to a meal, do them a favor (like walk an old person for them or change a lightbulb), and whatever else just so they know my appreciation of letting me into their home!
