My friend and I are currently exploring India together. We both love India's vibrant culture, dance, food, music, and creativity. We are both yoga teachers who like to live a happy, healthy, and adventurous life. We have both worked in schools and cared for children. Mel is from New Zealand but currently lives in Australia.

To meet people and have a good chat. It is also a much better experience than a hostel/hotel!!

Interests

Art.....costume, theatrical makeup, jewellery making, photography, drawing, sewing, and stencilling.

Food...tasting new flavours and attempting to cook lots of different tasty treats. Healthy, vibrant, and colourful cuisine.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy so many genres of music from all over the world..soul, hop hop, dub, jungle, swing, trip hop, punk, IDM and blues. Im always searching and listening out for new tracks.

Books - most of my favourite books are creative/art books full of images, I enjoy reading true stories that give an insight into different cultures and storys with an unexpected twist...oh and recipe books as I love to cook..more for inspiration than following step by step tho.

Films - I love so many films!! Some of my favourites are Leon, 9, city of god, wall-e, eternal sunshine...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working with young people to raise funds and awareness for an amazing youth mental health charity! It was great to witness the students confidence and self belief grow during the programme!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Respect and consideration, vegetarian cooking (mostly spicy), crafts (often making jewellery or doodling).
