I've been a body worker and healer for more than 30 years, developing my own system of massage (which I hope soon to be teaching.) I am an artist, writer, film maker, photographer and worked for many years in the entertainment industry (tv, film, live events & industrials) in a wide variety of jobs. I have two grown sons (single mom)who now live on their own. Currently my only roommate is a cat. I love travel, hiking, music, art, movies, dance...

I love traveling and one of the things I like most about it is meeting new people. I've found that it's a very different experience if you are staying in someone's home vs. a hostel or hotel. I am traveling to Paris in Nov. and hope to find a place to stay with people who become life long friends (I have a spare room should they ever want to come to LA.) That and a limited budget (I'm being honest.)

I love movies; many many different types it's easier to tell you what I don't like - I don't like horror, badly acted or directed, or just really really stupid - everything else is great.
I'm an avid reader, it seems to go with writing, my favorite book is "100 years of Solitude" and Gabrielle Garcia Marquez was my favorite writer - I've read everything by Amy Tan, Mary Stewart & Zenna Henderson. "The Night Circus" is my favorite read in the last year -I loved the Outlander series, just finished Dean Koontz's "The City" though "Watchers" is still my favorite of his - I read non-fiction but I prefer good fiction (to read and write) I collect children's books and also read young adult, loved Harry Potter...

Mahout elephant training in Thailand ( one of the best experiences ever!)
Scuba diving in Catalina, Sky-diving, cliff rappelling, & Burning Man - the list is endless - I try to find something amazing everyday!

cooking,;I'm a pretty good cook but can always learn new things (& I love good food) - I don't eat meat and am allergic to peanuts but everything else is worth the explore. I am a phenomenal massage therapist (all humility aside) and also am always willing to learn new healing modalities. Love to share stories, hiking, museums, music (I can drum & sing but don't really play any other instrument) Love to dance and always want to learn new moves. Yoga, I'm a novice but enjoy it when I do it.
