About Me

My interests and relationships with friends and loved ones have taken me all over the world. I enjoy finding the good.

Interests

Some of my favorite hikes:
Cinque Terre- Porto Venere to Monterossa
Arches National Park Moab, UT
Preikestolen in Stavanger, Norway
Kjerag in Stavanger, Norway
There are so many great hikes we've done that I know I'm forgetting. But these will do for now.

I really do love running and most physical activity. I completed the OKC Memorial half marathon in 2015 and the Tough Mudder in Long Island, NY this past summer. Sprinkle in a few 5ks and 10ks and that's about it. Honestly, I'm not that fancy or polished, I just enjoy any excuse to be outside. I'm currently training for the OKC Memorial Marathon in April 2017.

For most of my life, I've been involved in music to some extent. We used to sing at weddings and did a lot of shows in high school and early college, but as of recently we don't really perform anymore. I guess I'll make my New year's resolution to sing again.

Also, I love my cat. And all cats. But especially mine because she's named after a very dear friend.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm going to have to sit on my list of favorite music and books a little longer. But when I think of movies I love, certain scenes or moments are engrained in my mind making this list a lot easier. Forest Gump, Goodwill Hunting, Lost in Translation,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think it's a tie between two very different but equally special times in my life.

In the Spring of 2013, I took a cross-country roadtrip living and working with nuns in their different ministries. It spanned 8 states, and I'll never forget the people I met on this trip.

The second thing happened the following year when I moved to Orlando and interned at Disney World. I took classes at Disney University while working in Entertainment. My boyfriend at the time (now fiance), moved there for the summer, and those months were some of the best of our lives.

Teach, Learn, Share

I suppose I could teach you how to knit. If I bring my portable audiometer, I can test your hearing too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share my love for different communication modalities, languages, recipes for Filipino cuisine, and probably photos of my cat.
