Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because next month I'll go backpacking in Indonesia and the east coast of Australia. I'll do this by myself. I know that the hostels in Australia are very expensive. So I went looking for good alternatives and then I've found this site. Next to the cheap alternative, it's also nice that you meet locals and I hope that they can give good tips or maybe show me around if they want.
