Michelle: Born in the Bronx, lived some early years in the Dominican Republic, bounced back to New York and Boston for a bit, before making Miami my home. I love living here but have plenty of wanderlust and enjoy meeting genuine people from varied cultures and backgrounds.

Chris: I was born in New Jersey and after the formative years was moved to Miami where I have been ever since. An introvert at heart who learned how to exercise the strengths of an extrovert in order to socialize comfortably.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Michelle: As stated above, I have plenty of wanderlust that needs fulfilling. I like the finer things in life whenever possible but if economizing will allow for more frequent travel then that's an option I will take without hesitation. Couchsurfing provides exactly that and besides, even when I do spring for a hotel, it's not like I'm spending all my time in the room. I'm out traveling!

Chris: Honestly, I'm still unsure about this whole scenario, but I do love traveling, and making strangers into friends so I can't let a little awkwardness on my part prevent me from living life. Plus, I like the concept of barter that Couchsurfing conveys.

Interests

Michelle: I enjoy reading, dancing, meditating, trying new cuisines and relishing old favorites, and have recently found myself taking an increased interest in watching movies (if we meet, get ready to be shocked with how many of the classic and modern greats I have not yet watched)

Chris: Listening to music from an eclectic point of pursuit is my all-time obsession. Movies would follow suit and reading thereafter. I enjoy eating all kinds of food (FatBoy Nation!) and dancing like an uncontrolled simian.
