Overview
About Me
I LOVE hiking; mountains are some of my favourite things on earth. In recent years I've become a bit lazy but trying to get the body back into shape.
I'm a mix of introverted and extroverted. I love reading (often sci-fi and thriller), cross-stitching, jigsawing, writing poems whilst also enjoying playing games with friends, dancing, any form of theatre and the copious amounts of bonfires that happen.
I'm a practitioner of Nichiren Buddhism and member of the local SGI community but in no way do I feel the need to discriminate against those of other faiths. I think this world is large and there is room for everybody.
Please do note that our cabin is 30km from town so it would be best if people has a means of transportation as buses do not run and taxis are expensive. When we're going to town we could give lifts but not always available.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy meeting new people and that can be a bit tough in the north. I would like to share with others my love of the yukon and open my cabin to people passing through who want to get the authentic experience of life in Whitehorse. I have stayed with hosts in the past and it's a wonderful way to travel and meet people

Music, Movies, and Books
So varied; books is mostly sci-fi and detective based thiller, preferably with a female protagonist;
Movies, I'm a bit of a sucker for tense political dramas and emotionally charged slow thinkers whereas my partner, Cyprian, is interested what I call "super weird and soul hurting stuff."
Recently we've been watching some documentary stuff, especially focussed on the north and on first Nation communities here.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Honestly, I just love doing new things and find that even seemingly small moments in life can be hugely significant or meaningful.
Often it's not what you do but who you do it with.
Teach, Learn, Share
Happy to share anything I know and hear other people's experiences and life philosophy.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My stories and experiences, food and treats, local knowledge or happy to bring people along to social gatherings that are happening, a nice couch or land for camping, we have membership for the local hotsprings and are happy to bring people, we have a canoe and if we have time could do a river ride.
Countries I’ve Lived In
