About Me
COPY + PASTE REQUESTS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DENIED
I don't need a key word for you to mention in your request, but if there is no indication you read my profile, I'll delete your request without a response (that includes more than just saying my name :P ).
In January 2017 I left home with $200 bucks to my name to travel as long as I can, see what happens, and make friends along the way. Basically I got impatient and didn't want to waste time saving up before leaving. Maybe not the smartest idea, but I figure as long as I don't get brutally murdered in a back alley, what's the worse that can happen?!
I like to stay flexible, in case any unexpected adventures fall into my lap (which happens quite often).
My motto: Life never goes according to plan, so why bother making one?
A few handy facts:
-Broken English is my second language
-I travel with a bright green ukulele
-Also a DSLR that you may end up being filmed on if we meet
-I want to explore every abandoned building I see (if you know of any, please show me!)
-My humor consists of bad puns and incessant your mom jokes
-I don't drink much but I love mixology and I'll make you up something if you ask
-I really love salsa
dancing, but I don't do it enough to be very good. Still do it anyway!
-Raisins remind me of of old people
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I use couchsurfing for more than just hosts, I utilize it as much as possible with hangouts, events, and groups. One couchsurfing event I went to ended with me joining a month long road trip the next morning with other couchsurfers!
While it is within my budget to just get a hostel or airbnb, I feel like I can take in a lot more by interacting and temporarily living with a local from the start. I've only stayed in four airbnbs, but I never met the host for any of them. It's basically "here's the keys, bye" and I can't stand it. I want to know who I'm staying with, whether I'm paying them or not. I try to stay with CS hosts for at least 2 nights because I feel like it usually takes one day to get to know a person before you can understand their humor and begin to open up more.
Serious talk aside, I'm always up for spontaneous adventures! Most of my greatest memories are results of quick decisions. The routine life is dull, so I strive to change it up whenever I can!
Interests
Music, writing, rock climbing/bouldering, anything that gets the creative juices flowing, and beer! I've also been getting into photography a lot, so let me know if you don't want me to stick my camera in your face.
Music, Movies, and Books
Biggest Lost fan on CS, LOTR, The Room (best worst movie ever), Anything from Quentin Tarantino, bad horror movies, good horror movies, B movies
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not to sound like a badass, but I snuck a backpack into Oktoberfest when they were banned.

I can teach you something on the ukulele, I would love to pick up any German I can, and I tell you about getting my wisdom teeth pulled in the ghetto of Mexico
