Overview
About Me
I am an artist, an art and English teacher and I live in Larissa, a city right in the heart of the Greek mainland. I am adventurer at heart and come from a long line of people with 'wanderlust'. I am a single mother of two great kids, one a full-blown teenager and the other a tweeny. I live a quiet, simple life and try to be a balanced, conscious, healthy and happy person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We are an intercultural, international family and we love travellers and interesting people. I adore travelling and people have often taken me in, fed me or given me lifts in my life. And of course, I have returned the favor and in the process formed lasting friendships. There is nothing nicer than sharing a bottle of wine and interesting conversation over a well-cooked meal. I would love to expose my children to different people and different cultures and Couchsurfing is a way to have those experiences right in our own home. At some point I would also like to use Couchsurfing as a way to travel and show my children Europe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have done many interesting, amazing things but so has everyone else. Just to be alive on a little blue planet hurtling through space is pretty amazing in itself.
Teach, Learn, Share
Larissa is very central and you can visit many amazing places from here. I am more than willing to teach visitors same basic phrases in Greek and share Greek cooking tips and in general explain Greek culture. I would like visitors to share their travel experiences and life perspective with me and my children. My son collects bank notes from different countries, so a donation would be great. I would also like to start a scrap book with all our visitors, so you might have to pose for a photograph.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Apart from sharing my couch, I can cook great traditional greek meals. I am a vegetarian but my children are carnivores, so we cater for all tastes. I have no problem sharing my washing machine, computer and whatever else is needed. As a foreigner living in Greece I can give visitors a good idea of what Greece is all about and suggest fun and interesting things to do. I can take them around my city for a 'tsippouro', an alcoholic drink similar to 'ouzo'. I can take them for a walk to our ancient theatre and museums. If there are any interesting festivals, concerts or other events, we can go to that too!
