*** URGENT ***

I'm visiting Maui -- for personal retreat, writing, and nature photography.

Have been enjoying and exploring the beauty of nature of the island and thus decided to extend my visit and exploration journey here.
Went up to the summit of Haleakala to watch sunrise several times. Would like to go up again for sunset and stargazing, if possible.

However, unexpectedly and unfortunately, my car and all luggage and valuable belongings -- including my computer and external hard drives with research data and my writing, four digitall cameras, and hundreds of digital memory cards, containing hundreds of thousands of photos and video footages that I've worked very hard to create and capture during many nature photography trips over 10 years ...etc -- were all stolen in Maui several days ago.

I'm still in shock and still trying to cope with the emergency and crisis situation as the result of the car theft and the major losses. It has turned my trip and visit here in Maui from an delightful adventure to a disaster and emergency situation.

As the results of the car theft, I'm in need of a temporary place to stay urgently -- while working on resolving and coping with the emergence and catastrophic situation caused by the car theft and major losses of my valuable belongings.

Other visitors told me about the "couch surfing" community and recommended that I shhould try it. So, here I am -- Sending out the first ever couch surfing request and message!

Any safe couch or accommodation would be appreciated greatly!!
