I'm a student at the University of Chicago majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Visual Arts. I grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles.

Interests

I have an eclectic mix of interests. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and backpacking. I like sports and play both tennis and lacrosse. I also enjoy watching soccer and basketball. Of course, since I'm from LA I love the Lakers (no matter how badly they are playing). I also love food-- mostly eating but also baking. Food is something that always brings people together :) Of course, I love learning about different cultures and traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite band is Death Cab for Cutie, but I pretty much listen to anything from pop to rock to edm. My favorite author is David Sedaris. All of his books are great!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the summer of 2014 I went on a backpacking trip through the Southern Sierra Nevada mountains. This trip was for 3 weeks. I carried all my clothes, food, and everything I needed in my backpack. No, there were no showers. For 3 days, I was completely by myself. This trip is so special to me in terms of metacognition, self-reflection, and appreciation.
