Living in Chicago, work remotely in software development, love urban hiking, bike riding, I enjoy exploring all the nature and gardens the city has to offer. I'm open to hosting 1 or 2 female surfers in my space, or meeting up with anyone traveling in the area.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve hosted strangers overnight at my the first time in spring 2024 and really enjoyed it. I want to host more! Also I want to explore Michigan with locals, as I see myself eventually settling in Michigan long term.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is always playing in my home, I like living my life one song away from a dance party at all times. I like most all music and enjoy people sharing their likes with me. I will go see any live music, and am not afraid to be the only one dancing. 💃🏽🪩

Currently I'm reading The Mountain is You, really into self improvement and mindfulness topics. I'm always re-reading Atomic Habits and Staring Into the Sun (death anxiety).

I have a TV but don't use it much. I like TV watching to be a social activity. There is a beautiful old famous theater a few blocks from my home that plays new and old movies- great spot to checkout if you're into film.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two things! Swam with sharks in Hawaii. Got the pay raised for all the minimum wage associates at the company where I work.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm certified in a leadership course called Crucial Conversations, which teaches skills on how to have a successful conversation when there is conflict and emotions are high. If there is a tough conversation you have been avoiding with others or yourself, I invite you to share and I'll listen with an open ear.

I've been a swim instructor for 10 years and scuba open water certified.

I'm very encouraging of others following their own path and overall bring great energy to whatever space I'm in.
