About Me

I'm 32, outgoing, very chatty, adventurous, a frequent traveller, love trying new foods or new bars or new restaurants or even meeting new people. I've been dying to go back to Europe ever since I studied in southwestern France (Pau) 10 yrs ago. I have seen all of Canada, a good chunk of western Europe and have seen both coasts of the US and been to a few islands in the Caribbean. I am a lot slower and more cautious than I was 10 yrs ago. I work in government back at home (within justice department on a computer program). I am an open book so ask away!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

All the kids seem to be trying it these days so maybe I should catch up with the times. Hahahaha

Music, Movies, and Books

Love all music, have a strong interest in WWII history - books and movies. I really enjoyed the Dan Brown novels-Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, etc. I have too many fave movies to name, but Schindler's List, Amelie, The Imitation Game, and Bridesmaids make the short list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So hard to name which one - but getting a divorce was the best thing I've done so far this past yr. Hahaha.

Seriously, though, learning to fly a twin seater plane, travelling across Europe alone twice, and submerging myself in France where I didn't speak the language yet at age 21 was a pretty big deal.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach French as I used to tutor and have a lot of knowledge on cooking technique, I love learning other languages, and I like cooking/teaching others how to cook.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Humour, great conversation, a new perspective, being a tidy houseguest, cooking you a delicious meal or two or three!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, England, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, France, Germany
