Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to tavel, and explore new cities, but hotel expenses keeps me from doing so.

Interests

I enjoy cooking, and miss cooking bigger meals, as my kiddos are grown, and two are off to college. I enjoy yardwork, and truly find peace in being outside with nature. I have always had a passion for photography! I like finding the beauty in everyday scenes that most people take for granted taking photos. I cross-stitched for many years, but as I got older, so did my eyesight. I have since enjoyed making blankets. I make them mostly for gifts, and after making about 170 now, have yet to make 2 exactly alike. I was a swimmer from elementary through college. I don't swim competitively anymore, but love being around water such as lakes, and beaches, and any waterpark I can afford. I also like to paint, as in walls, furniture, etc. Unfortunately I am not talented enough to paint artisticly. I enjoy reupholstering/repurposing items. I think turning an old piece into something new, and pretty again, makes it more special than a store bought piece.
