About Me
Hello Couchsurfer!
I'm Michelle and I grew up in a village near Dresden in Saxony.
As a little girl I spend every summer camping at the Baltic sea with my parents...but now I'm old enough to change something and explore the world. I want to travel as much as I can, meet interesting people, learn something about other cultures, impove my language skills, enjoy life and have a great time.(...like almost everyone here ;D)
After finishing high school I went to the USA and I lived for three months on a farm in Kentucky. Thereafter I staied for 4 months in Spain and had a very exciting time.
Now I study in Freiberg and live together with three roommates. Freiberg is a small town, but my university has a lot international students. Thats why it is very easy to get to know people from different cultures and I already met so many interesting persons! It is something I really like :)
One of my biggest passion is dancing. And I can't imagine living without it! I tryed different types of dancing and I'm always opened to try something new. Currently I'm dancing a lot Salsa and also take part in a dancing group of our small theater in Freiberg.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to gain new travel experiences and be not just a usual tourist. I love to meet people from all around the world, get to know their culture and learn from eachother. Couchsurfing is a great way to get a lot of different point of views and be more authentic during travelling. I don't need and want to stay in a great hotel with all inclusive. It is my aspiration to have an exciting time and see and do as much as I can when I spend time abroad :) ... and there is no better way than spending as much time as possible with locals :)

Music, Movies, and Books
The music I'm listening to always depends a bit on my mood.
For a relaxed evening or morning I do like Indie, Rock music for example, for getting motivated and in a happy mood reggaeton, sitting in the car and sing out loud with a friend some oldies or maybe a very good charts song, ... I do like music with real instruments, voices and beats who make me feel like I want to dance or daydream.
At first I have to admit...I'm not a movie expert. It is nice to have a movie night with friends, but it's not regularly thing for me to spend time in front of the televisor.
During my childhood I loved "The sword in the stone" and "Marry Poppins".
Around Christmas it is almost a tradition to watch "Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel" it is a german version of Cinderella and every Christmas eve I play the soundtrack for my grandmother with my accordion, because she loves it so much ;)
Some I like : The Intern, Inception, Pirates of the Caribbean, Some Like It Hot, Monsieur Claude und seine Töchter ...
Exept horror I enjoy almost everything.
Currently I don't read that much, because after all studies I have to move and do something! But if I have time, I try to read something in english or spanish to improve my language skills.
It is already some years ago, but a book I really liked was "Bad carma" from David Safier.
