Interests

I have a debilitating case of curiosity and can find myself fully captivated by nearly any subject. I'm really passionate about my studies in information science, throw me in an archive full of manuscripts and I can keep myself occupied indefinitely. I love music and take advantage of any opportunity to go to a show. Art, biking, philosophy, nature, the list can go on and on.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Newport Folk Festival epitomizes my ideal music experience, but certainly is not limited to. Recently been obsessing over Tom Waits and Jethro Tull. Miscellaneous favorite bands include Man Man, The Decemberists, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Ween, Sallie Ford, and Kay Kay and his Weathered Underground.

Movies: I can get invested in most movies I take the time to watch, Quentin Tarantino and Wes Anderson have directed some of my favorites.

Books: There seems to be a prominent theme of tortured, alcoholic, male authors that have written most my favorites. Hunter S. Thompson, Bukowski, Henry Miller, Ernest Hemingway...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I fulfilled the cliche 'pack a bag and take the next flight out' fantasy. Starting at an airport in Greece, I ended up in Prague that night. Having no plans or destination lent to an incredible adventure.
