Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Exploring the East Coast.
ABOUT ME
I moved to Halifax for grad school, met my partner, finished grad school and stayed. We now live on the culturally-rich Dartmouth side. Academia has been good to me, but it was time for me to see what the working world was like and I enjoy my current job in Human Resources. When I'm travelling, I'm not one to sit around in a hotel room; I'd rather be out discovering the sights and sounds, and the people, but--let's be honest--mostly the food.
PHILOSOPHY
“Don't explain your philosophy. Embody it.” -Epictetus
(One of the philosophers that influenced me the most, early on, who says the only way to happiness is to stop worrying about things you can't control; worrying and getting mad will never help)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Before joining the CS website, I've had traveling friends and friends of friends stay at my house while I've been in Ireland, Ottawa and Halifax, and my friends have hosted several people with whom I was glad to go out with and show them a good time! I've stayed with a few CSers over the years now and have only had wonderful experiences.
Interests
When I'm not studying or working, I play in a pipe band, go out with friends, I'm a bit of a night owl (love to sleep in!) and I'm always up for trying something new.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sitting on the edge of a cliff on the West coast of Ireland is magical, and playing at the World Pipe Band Championships in Scotland is unreal.
