About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to discover what my mission is.

ABOUT ME

I have lived in Utah the majority of my life. I am currently a student studying nutritional science. I love being outside, riding my bike, and my cat. I live to travel. It's such a big world with so little time. I especially enjoy traveling alone. There is a certain freedom in being able to do exactly what you want all the time. I'm a quiet person, I prefer to listen and absorb what is being said. I can talk politics all day long. I'm intense and passionate and I speak my mind.

PHILOSOPHY

I do not want to merely exist, I want to live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

3 years ago I bought a one way ticket to Europe not knowing what to expect. I ended up staying for 8 months. I wwoofed in Italy, herded goats in Turkey, worked at hostels in Romania and Poland via workaway. I've traveled through Italy, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Poland and Turkey and met couchsurfers all along the way. I think it's a great opportunity to meet different people, local or not, and be able to experience the world through their eyes for a minute and invite them into mine. Traveling alone has its pros and cons and I'm thankful to couchsurfing for bringing together a community of like minded people because walking around by yourself for months gets kinda lonely ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just gettin' started! I've seen Chicago from the back of a motorcycle, partied on top of a castle in Germany, drank copious amounts of wine on a Sunday morning in a wine chapel in the countryside in Hungary, tasted the most amazing honey and mozzarella at the circus Maximus in Italy, had my first Turkish bath experience in Turkey (hopefully not my last!). What can YOU show me?!?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I, along with 2 other shepherds, took 503 sheep (along with 12 dogs) 40 km through the mountains of Italy. It is called transumanza, and it was hands down the most amazing experience of my life. I also went to midnight mass on Christmas Eve and managed to get my picture taken with THE POPE!

Teach, Learn, Share

I figure you can learn something from almost anybody. As long as your mind is open, the potential is unlimited.
