About Me
ABOUT ME
Doesn't the beauty of personality lie in the interchangeability of its traits? And the possibility of addition or subtraction of the same at any given moment?
Let me put it this way: I'm absolutely determined ... except when unambitious, completely satisfied ... except when I'd like change, highly disciplined ... except when unmotivated, have unending patience ... except when tried, hungry, cold or in pain, unconditionally hospitable ... except when being tumbled through a wave of life that proved too high for me to ride, perfectly tidy ... except when I'm lazy. I'm loud and quiet, colorful and black and white, love to party and to stay at home, am open minded and have my own opinions, wear dresses and pants, try new things and remain with the familiar. Basically aim to enjoy the freedom and privilege of having a personality which is as diverse as everyone else's and to add up my very own moments to create my unique life. Still, some things were designed to remain unchangeable: honestly, respect, reliability, willingness to be supportive, and the ability to remain open to change if the present modus operandi is not the optimal.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first 'real life' contact with CSing was in Paris, August 2012. Those 10 days will remain a dream in the memories of the three of us that went. We were welcomed into three people's homes and absolutely fell in love with all of them. Their hospitality, open hearts, sharing souls and even – or especially, if you prefer – their diversity, made it such an awe-inspiring experience. So far we were only able to host one person, but that too was a wonderful experience. Sadly, because of personal situation reasons, I was not able to be an active part of this community for over half a year. I now see an opening and would like to find out what new adventures CS will take us to. I'm looking forward! :D
Interests
My interests are as diverse as my personality I guess. Mirroring a great part of my personality, I love taking things into my (own) hands, creating things, be it cooking, baking, carpentry, gardening, sewing, drawing, knitting, photography or otherwise. I especially love finding the new in the old, giving the used, and perhaps unwanted, a new life. I love travel (though that's obviously not a first to anyone reading this). I love appreciating someone else's skills and accomplishments (books, plays, great meals or bakings, art, gardens or just about any creations. They fascinate me entirely in that they're a bit of another persons soul materialized). I love experiencing other peoples lives, their perspectives, opinions and fascinations. I love being happy! I love the sun! And I love coffee! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in Africa for one and a half years was particularly amazing and culturally very fascinating. I got to experience the other side of the media, developing not only political, social and moral questioning, but also anger and incomprehension, directed toward many different sides for many different reasons.
Plane travel is not an amazing feat, but it puts a whole new perspective on so many things in life, emphasizes the fact that some worries, thoughts and situations are indeed less significant then we sometimes make them out to be and also reminds that this is ONE planet. I've lost count of the planes I've been on, but one was a fifteen-seater in Africa. I'll never forget THAT flight ;) Helicopters are a great way of travel as well, though slightly louder ... :)
