About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to bike across the states.

ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm in my last year of pharmacy school at Duquesne University! I like to work on urban farms when I'm not busy with school. I love vegetables and vegan baking! I especially love cooking for people. I'm currently having a blast learning how to play the ukelele. I bike everywhere around Pittsburgh. My most recent accomplishment was biking from Pittsburgh to Washington D.C. and I'm currently planning my next bike touring adventure!

PHILOSOPHY

happiness is within you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love Pittsburgh and hosting people here is great!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience was wonderful. I stayed at a sustainable house with some students from Gettysburg. We found that we had a lot in common, including a love of farming. We got to explore a lavender festival at a local, organic herb farm. I discovered a whole new side of this historic town with my new friends and I'm still cooking with the lavender that I picked.

Interests

I like to read and be outside! I like (urban) farming, cooking, volunteering, running long distance, biking, and being with my friends and family :)I also love to bake cupcakes and make vegetarian dinners with my friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i spent a week helping to rebuild homes in new orleans with my school's campus ministry. it was an incredible experience. we learned exactly what happened when hurricane katrina hit the city and also about the aftermath that followed. in such a short time, we were able to grasp the spirit and culture of such a vibrant city. we worked on gutting a particular house for two days, and afterwards, the family invited all 14 of us over for a crawfish boil to thank us. southern hospitality was embodied in this family as they extended their home to us.

Countries I’ve Visited

Dominican Republic, Italy, Mexico, United Kingdom, Viet Nam
