About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm here to meet new people while exploring new places

ABOUT ME

I'm 24 year old travelling enthusiast. I grew up in Buffalo, New York, moved to Ohio for school and worked in Indiana. I’ve always had a strong passion for travel, but like most people, thought that it was only possible to do for a week at a time. I wanted to break the 9-5 cycle and make being happy my number one priority, so I quit my job and moved half way across the world. I’m a teacher in Taiwan, and I love it. I enjoy teaching, and I love the accessibility that Taiwan has to other Countries. The possibilities of adventure are endless here! I can’t get enough of just wandering around and finding new things around every corner. I’m interested in new cultures, languages and people from all around the world. I hope to get certified as a dive master and explore the underwater too! I’m open to trying anything once and I hope to meet people just as open as I am with CS.

PHILOSOPHY

My dream "job" would be to travel the world helping different NGO's and Non-profits. I believe that a little kindness and good can go a long way. I also believe that travelling is the best way to open your eyes to new experiences and people. You can't make informed decisions or thoughts without fully educating yourself first. Always keep your ears and eyes open because you can learn something new anywhere, at anytime.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a newbie, but I think that the exchange of knowledge and friendship in this way is an one of a kind experience!

Interests

Ohhhh, the list can go on and on with things that I'm interested in but here's some to name a few:
-Humanitarian beliefs/organizations
-Sports: Volleyball, Softball, Hockey, Football (The American kind..)
-Meeting people that are funny and out-going.
-Racking up Scuba Certificates
-Hiking/outdoors: When I see a mountain I want to climb it. When I see a river I want to swim it.
- I'd love to learn how to surf. I tried once in Hawaii and failed miserably.
- ...same with Yoga

Music, Movies, and Books

I pretty much love anything but Techno. I'm a huge Country fan, and enjoy laying on the beach with some relaxing Country or Reggae music playing.
I'm the same way with movies too. I like just about everything, but prefer something funny.
I love Band of Brothers and The Pacific.
Anything else specific you want to know, just ask!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've swam with Sting Rays, and Jelly Fish.
I've been to Thailand
I quit my job, and left the Country 2 weeks after.
