CURRENT MISSION (updated Jan 2023)

I am on a " break " and I am planning to travel for a few months or more , at least till Jan 2023 (right now I have extended my travels to end of May 2023 and I have been traveling since 7th December 2022)

To be honest, post covid makes me really hesitant to travel and reach out to people but I think once I put myself out there, all hell would break loose. I am really eager to know more people from different nationalities and culture. As a female, it can be quite scary to venture the unknown but may luck be with me and stay safe! I have not been using couch surfing since 2019 so it would be really fun and exciting getting back into this space!

ABOUT ME

I have been a full time photographer doing work involving fashion/lifestyle/weddings/families (IG @Underleskies @knittedlovestories) since graduating from chemical engineering in SG since 2016.Currently, I am on a break because after this break, life may change for me because I would explore doing sth else other than focusing on my photography business. I am looking into studying UXUI and other stuff so it can allow me to work remotely and travel more. Don't get me wrong, I will always be doing photography but it may or may not be my sideline. I love taking photos too much. At the same time, I am looking into making more videos as I travel because I would be making a youtube channel together with other friends to share the love of traveling.

Also, to be honest, I don't even know how to begin describing myself. I feel I am a bit of everything.
I prefer face to face interaction than just online interaction but if you could host me, I would love to get on an online video call first before deciding anything at all. (Safety reason, hope you understand). I prefer that you get to know me by talking to me in person than read what is online that I am going to describe myself as.

I do hope to host people in the future though (return that good karma), only if I have my own place. *cross my fingers though gods know when it is possible*

I'm simply a fun loving person who is easy going. Love to play sports like all kinds of sports! I have involved myself with volleyball, tennis, rollerblading etc. I love to talk a lot and will do so if you are like that as well. I love to dance and to take many many pictures. XD I guess that is how I became a photographer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wish to cross path with more people and widen my knowledge about the world and perhaps in the meantime pick up new skills or whats not!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Jeju (2014)
i had my first couch surfing homestay when i was in jeju for 3 days. totally loved it!
Taiwan (2014)
I met a guy named adam and had a wonderful time in kaoshiung. It was my first time staying at a guy's house so i was a bit hesitant. Glad i took that step and got to know this great guy.
Paris (2019)
I met a fellow singaporean who was living in Paris and we became friends ever since. We even travelled to Johor Bahru together for a massage trip because JB is just across the Singapore.

After 2014, it seems I didn't use CS that much to find host but I used it to meet up with other travellers during my 45 days europe trip in 2019.

Interests

Anything that keeps me active, count me in!
It ranges from volleyball, tennis, running, roller blading, snow boarding etc

I love to dance too though not the best dancer out there.
I think I should learn how to cook better so that I can cook for others during my travel too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

SCOTLAND 2016
Get on a camper van with two other friends in Scotland and tour the highlands in 7 days
Gosh that is in 2016.

ITALY 2019
In 2019, I met a friend who lives in the mountain area Italy and stayed with him for 2N. It was one of the most amazing experience because the view was AMAZEBALLS just right at the balcony of my room. I can see a clear view of snowcapped mountain.

NEPAL 2022
In 2022, I hike the Annapurna circuit along with a group of strangers from singapore and it was one of the amazing trips I have ever been in.

CANADA 2022
I also worked (via workaway) at a horse farm in Brockville, Canada for two weeks and it was one of the most amazing trip ever because I can get close to horses, like really close ( leaning against them or giving them kisses)

Over the period of 2017 to 2019, I have done model test shoots overseas in Australia(2017), Hong Kong(2017 and 2019), Paris (2019), Shanghai(2019) and it was one of the more fun things I like to do while traveling overseas.

Teach, Learn, Share

One thing I love most is hearing stories from other travellers and experience it my own way too.

I recently went snowboarding in Yosemite at Ski Badger Pass which I totally noob out and fall so badly but I hope to try it again someday again.
