About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Planning a 6 month long trip with a friend to see the world. We're starting in Europe! We'll see where the road takes us.

ABOUT ME

I am adventurous, easy-going, & a free-spirit. I have a zest for life & love people & stories.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that life is short and you should live it to the fullest. I love the Jack Kerouac quote that goes: "Because in the end, you won't remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that goddamn mountain." It pretty much sums up how I feel about things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed with friends in the past & people that I've met while traveling, but this is my first time using this website! I've also hosted a few people and they were all absolutely lovely. This is such a rad idea.

Interests

Traveling, eating, drinking, wandering, & experiencing different cultures. I love life & I love people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything by F Scott Fitzgerald & Kerouac, 'Walk Across America,' 'The Longest Way Home,' anything fiction, etc. I love to read & I love travel books. I hope to write one, someday.

Music: Absolutely anything except Country. Currently, I love Lord Huron, Radical Face, The Clash, U2, old school rock, Broadway, any kind of folk music, Bob Dylan, & Simon & Garfunkel.

Movies; My top ten for the moment are: Gardenstate, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Dead Poet's Society, Harold & Maude, A Single Man, Titanic (I know, lol), Perks of Being a Wallflower, Crash, Slumdog Millionare, & Gladiator. I love movies so much--and will definitely watch anything--but these are dear to my heart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have scuba-dived with multiple sharks in Bora Bora, met travelers in a hostel in Spain & talked until the sun rose, ate a dinner at a Chinese cooking school with people all over the world in a back alley with an unlimited wine pour, watched the most stunning show I've ever seen on the waters of Guilin, & hiked the Cinque Terra. The world is the most magnificent. I can't wait to see more of it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn and grow from hearing other's stories. I truly believe that stories can save us.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, China, England, France, French Polynesia, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Macao, Mexico, Scotland, Spain
